Substrate: Wood window and door components.

Application: Stationary, automated spray guns with conventional spray system.

Variables: The main variables include line speed, the total distance of the line, the process for handling components, the fluid and air volumes on the guns, and the drying requirements.

Main Consideration: The coating needed to be a water base, high performance finish for exterior exposure.

Adhesion: The system required flexibility in that the customer offered products with various specifications. Some components were only primed prior to assembly, some were primed and top coated with the same color, while others were primed and top coated with different colors.

Color: An assortment of colors was offered to the end-user.
