Thirteen-year-old Max has a learning disability and is big for his age. Fellow 8th grader Kevin is a genius with a birth defect that affects his growth. When Kevin moves next door to Max, the two strike up an unlikely friendship, embarking on quests and discovering that being "different" isn't always so bad.
