STARTING SALARY: $30.39 per hr
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to the Foreperson, Construction, installs and maintains City Irrigation Systems and ensures that systems are safe and well maintained, and supports the ongoing maintenance of City parks and properties.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
• High school (Grade 12) graduation plus an additional program of over one year and up to two years or equivalent in Horticulture Science.
• Certified Irrigation Technician through the Irrigation Association is required.
• A Valid, non-probationary Ontario Class DZ driver’s licence.
• Over two (2) years up to including four years.
• Front end loader qualification.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
**Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.
