The Field Production Team responsibilities include digging and preparing trees and shrubs for transport, transplanting seedlings and rooted cuttings, potting and repotting. Reporting signs of insect damage or disease to supervisor. Tending to nursery stock in field, and yard. Assisting with pruning of trees, shrubs, and plants. Participating in shipping and receiving of nursery stock. Members of this team assist customers with product selection. Assisting Container Production Team and other duties as required.

Working Conditions:
Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Fast paced environment. Repetitive tasks but will be exposed to various aspects of field and container production.
Physical Requirements:
Physically demanding, walking on uneven surfaces, standing for extended periods of time, bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination
Days/Hours of Work:
8:00am to 5:00pm, 40 to 48 hours per week, Monday to Saturday. Overtime required during seasonal peaks. Occasional additional overtime required.

Reliable transportation (rural location)
Secondary School Diploma preferred
Horticulture knowledge or experience an asset, but not required
