The Career Foundation is currently seeking two trained Grounds Persons on behalf of one of our employer partners; a professional tree services organization in Toronto specializing in Tree/Shrub Pruning, Tree Removal, Tree Planting and Arborist Reports. Duties for the Grounds Persons include, but not limited to, assisting Arborists, collecting and carrying branches, safe operation of chipper and other heavy machinery, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment. You should be able to work with a variety of crew members. To be a successful Grounds Person, you must be physically strong and able to work in all weather conditions. An outstanding Grounds Person should be able to carry out instructions efficiently and complete all required tasks to the highest standard.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ground support operations and assist Arborists.
- Perform worksite cleanup and all other duties as per company standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Safe operation on chipper and other heavy machinery.
- Maintaining Tools and equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Capable of performing physically demanding manual labour in a variety of weather conditions.
- Able to carry out instructions efficiently and complete all required tasks.
- Knowledge of industry rules and regulations.
- Good stamina and physical health.
