Work Location: Various locations across the Ottawa Region.
Type of Employment: Full time – Seasonal / 6-month Contract

Job Description:
• Assist with landscape constructions
• Cut grass
• Remove litter and garbage
• Lay sod or seed
• Apply fertilizers
• Repair and maintain equipment
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Rake and collect refuse
• Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
• Plant bulbs, flowers shrubs and trees
• Write daily basic progress reports
• Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
• Load and unload material on and off trucks
• Install ponds, gardens and work with natural stone
• Carry bricks pushing wheelbarrows
Requirements:
-Education: No education is required; some secondary school education is preferred.
-Experience is an asset
-Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities: tight deadlines, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, repetitive tasks, attention to detail.
-Work site environment: fast-paced environment, outdoors, noisy, dusty, wet/damp, odours, hot.
-Personal Suitability: team player, client focus, dependability, reliability, flexibility, organized.
Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 hourly, 45 hours per week.
Benefits: Paid transportation from the shop to other job sites. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Uniforms provided.
Important Information:
-Work schedule will be a regular 5-day week. From Monday to Friday. Employee’s workday will begin at 7:00am and end at 5:30pm with paid breaks and paid lunch time. **Shifts may vary depending on clients’ needs and weather conditions. **We guarantee a 30-hour week despite the weather conditions**
-Flexibility on schedule and overtime work is required.
