Brackenrig Nursery and Maintenance is a well-established, eco-friendly, garden centre and garden maintenance operation. We are seeking the right candidates to assist with the garden maintenance of our customer's high end gardens in the Muskoka area. We are offering a place to grow, where people can expand their knowledge and work in a professional environment. The work is physically demanding, but the benefits of working with nature, creating beauty and enhancing the environment make it all worth it.
The gardeners will be responsible for all tasks related to the maintenance of gardens, Spring and Fall clean-ups, fertilizing, weeding, pruning and deadheading, mulching and amending existing gardens, planting of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees, creating new gardens, grass cutting, natural pest control.
Candidates must love the outdoors, be able to perform physical work, be detail oriented, have a strong work ethic and positive attitude. They must be able to work in a team as well as being self-motivated. Working hours are Monday through Friday, with the occasional optional weekend.
