As a Property Maintenance Gardener/Horticulturist, you are an integral member of the team ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed to the expectation of the client and to company standards.  You are a role model in quality and professionalism and a key member in fostering positive workplace communication. 

Starting Pay:  $17.50 (Experience taken into consideration & Opportunities for advancement)

As a Property Maintenance Gardener/Horticulturist your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Performing all tasks associated with property gardens including but not limited to soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, shrub and perennial trimming, leaf and debris removal, bed preparation and planting
• Performing all winter maintenance tasks of operations including but not limited to plowing, shoveling, snow blowing, applying ice melter products and nightly checks
• Practicing the use of proper safety precautions
• Working in an environment with temperature and precipitation variances
• Fostering positive workplace communication and reinforce company culture with crew (professionalism, attire, communication, work ethic and attitude)
• Unloading/loading equipment and material, cleaning out truck/trailer of debris
• Conducting a daily inspection of assigned truck
• Working to identify more efficient ways to perform work
• Taking initiative to learn, train and hone skills to demonstrate role model work
• Completing all required paperwork and submissions accurately and timely
• Accurately capturing and turning in crew time logs
• Other tasks and duties as assigned; Working on special projects, if requested

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping and property maintenance, agriculture or a related field
• Horticulturist designation or relevant education background required
• A strong working knowledge of plant material and plant care
• A strong work ethic, dependability, ability to work independently and a positive attitude
• Flexibility, eagerness and willingness to add to personal knowledge base and skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; Valid Driver’s License considered an asset; Full-time employment
