Job Duties:

• Mow, trim and fertilize green spaces
• Mulch, edge and weed gardens
• Install and maintain sod, annual and perennial plants and grasses, shrubs, hedges and trees
• Prune and trim trees and bushes
• Adjust irrigation systems based on seasonal and current weather conditions,
• Clean and maintain all gardening tools, equipment and machinery such as mowers, trimmers and leaf blowers
• Monitor and maintain the health of plants
• Identify and deal with pest problems that could damage plants
• Keep gardens and green spaces clear of debris and litter
• Provide protection for evergreens with installation of burlap wrapping for the winter season and removal in spring
• Work with homeowners to provide planting suggestions and to develop and design new planting beds

• Lay out plant material for installation on new projects
• Install new planting beds and plant material

Qualifications:

• Certficate or diploma in Horticulture would be an asset
• Highly-motivated, excellent and willing learner, good work ethic, works well in a team, takes pride in workmanship and willing to work extra hours to complete assigned tasks

• Respectful attitude toward team members and customers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00 /hour
