Landscape Design Intern
Major Duties: • Accompany Landscape Designer to client meetings and assisting with site measurements and note taking • Performing site analyses that includes the assessment of current plants, soil conditions, lighting, etc. • Using site measurements and photos to create digital site layouts using Dynascape Design, Google Sketchup etc. • Calculate material amounts and create product/plant lists for projects • Create job proposals in Microsoft Word • Advises design team on material selection • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications: • A High School diploma or GED is required. • Experience not necessary but preferred • A valid driver’s license (G Class license) and own car are required • Ability to read landscape design plans and layout • Experience in Dynascape or Google Sketchup is an asset • Knowledge of construction methods is beneficial• Ability to work independently and in a team settings. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Preference will be given to current students or recent graduates of a related program (Landscape design, Horticulture technician, Landscape Construction, etc.) • Portfolio of past projects or work experience is an asset.
Additional Details: Based out of Campbellville. Pay: $15/hour Hours: 40 hours/week
