LP Landscape Plus Inc. is seeking a Landscape Install Foreman to become part of our expanding team.

 

Qualifications

Must have experience working with all aspects of landscaping. Prospective candidates must be able to operate the heavy equipment used on the job and have a valid G or DZ licence, along with a clean driving record. Knowledge of the plants, shrubs and trees commonly used in the region is an asset.

Skills / Responsibilities

As the leader of a construction crew, the foreman must be able to communicate effectively. The successful candidate needs great people skills to work with their crew, supervisors and clients. Foremen also must have strong organizational and time-management skills; the ability to follow directions; and good record-keeping skills to manage materials and expenses. Must have the drive to meet or exceed budgetary figures for time and materials.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter with strong leadership skills and experience in onsite project management. Hired applicant will be paid competitively and also be responsible for:

• Overseeing and directing other crew members of their team which usually consists of a lead hand and labourer(s).
• Working with the designer, sales representative and operations manager to finalize details of landscape installations.
• Using company provided software including time tracking phone application and cloud-based file sharing.
• Being a motivator for your crew, the division and the company.
• Coordinating & scheduling the ordering, delivery and/or pickup of plants and materials.
• Directing crew on site and leading them through tasks and projects.
• Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and any broken or missing equipment is fixed or replaced.
• Troubleshooting problems as they arise. 
• Keeping project on schedule and in budget.
• Keeping appropriate LP Landscape Plus Inc staff informed of any relevant customers communications/issues.
• Be available for all winter work including snow operations (24/7) which could include plow operations, salting, sidewalk tractor or hand shovelling. 

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience and will range from $25/hour - $35/hour. There is also opportunity for profit sharing, RRSP contributions and to join the company health benefit program after a 3-month period.
