Skilled Labourer – Construction Landscape

MUST have minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in either:

• SOFTSCAPE LANDSCAPE FOREMAN
• CONCRETE WORK
• PRECAST STONE WORK
• BRICK WORK
• NATURAL STONEWORK
• EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
• CARPENTRY

Specific Worker Responsibilities:

• Stone work:
• Grading and installing interlocking stone
• Carrying interlocking and natural stone
• Concrete:
• Pouring, leveling and finishing concrete stair and walkways
• Carpentry:
• Building decks, fences, gazebos
• Carpenters certificate or red seal preferred
• Softscape (Horticulture)
• Proper installation of trees, shrubs, plants and other materials
• Horticulture knowledge preferred
• Equipment operator
• Able to use skid steer, bobcat and mini-excavator
• Use company equipment responsibly and safely

G Licence considered an asset (but not required unless applying for lead hand or foreman position)

General Responsibilities:

• Must adhere to our safe work practices and procedures
• Must have previous experience with a verifiable company
• Heavy lifting ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work long hours
• Digging by hand
• Pushing wheel barrels
• Able to work in outdoor environment
• Be presentable, professional and have great work ethic
• Must be familiar with tools for trade
• Able to take direction and follow instructions
• Not afraid to ask questions
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Foreman/womanand lead hand must have good leaderships skills, ability to read blueprints and have a G Licence
• Crew leaders are to maintain work logs and production notes and have excellent communication skills
• Everyone must have a team player attitude
