Summary:

Responsible for assisting to creating/interpreting drawings and 3D’s with specifications and detailed descriptions for landscaped environments including installation of plants, flowers, trees, shrubs; and construction of structural installations. As well, assist with client confirmation of materials.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing and updating blueprints including all 3D HARDSCAPE and SOFTSCAPE until project is completed;
  • Assist to Update drawings as soon as change are made as per Designer instruction;
  • Print out updated residential drawings to be always hanging as identified;
  • Assist to prepare yellow folder and insure all design information in in the folder;
  • Assist in site measurements client consultations;
  • Assist to complete building permits and permit closing; 
  • Include where applicable, detailed cross sections either from own details or those provided from sub-contractors, including all aspects, colours finishes, etc.
  • Ensure sample inventory up to date and readily available;
  • Assist in Coordinating/ confirming  laying patterns, sizes and complete material choices on entire project, to be selected with client at the office and samples provided only if requested immediately after the job as been signed at the latest;
  • Assist in the confirmation of site furnishings, either confirm with client or source out appropriate furnishings including contact name and number for pricing;
  • Meeting clients to Tag plants at nurseries where applicable;
  • Assist in ordering and scheduling tree and plant scope of work with Designer including tagging plants/inspection prior to delivery; Assist on occasion onsite to review installation of planting according to approved drawings and as per direction of designer;
  • Reviewing invoices for items ordered and add to Project Managers invoice folder following up with an email to the project manager to ensure reception;
  • Updating company Dropbox throughout project with a. Blueprints (most recent approved version) i. Hardscape; ii. Softscape; iii. 3D’s; iv. Utility trenches; v. Lighting plan where applicable; vi. Planting list; b. Site furnishings with contacts; c. All appliances for outdoor kitchens, hot tubs etc.; d. All material choices confirmed over email or other (eco-sign); e. Pre-construction site photos;

·         Responsible to adhere to company policies and procedures.

·         Advise and suggest improvements with regards to procedures and tools to help increase production capacity.

·         Advise and suggest improvements with regards to all areas for cost savings and waste reducing.

·         Act in a professional manner using tact and diplomacy at all times when representing Pro-Land Landscape Construction Inc. 

·         May be required to perform additional responsibilities as assigned;

Knowledge and Skill

·         Good knowledge of materials, products and services provided by Pro-Land Landscape Construction Inc.

·         Ability to understand managers instruction, and work within budget and timeframes;

·         Good interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written to deal with clients, work with fellow employees and  trades;

·         Work may require local travel to current and potential clients where required; this requires the possession of a valid driver’s license;

·         Computer skills – as described in core competencies;

Working Conditions:

·         Working conditions require standing, sitting and lifting for long periods of time;

·         Work locations are indoors and/or outdoors;

·         Will require good attendance records;

·         Valid Driver’s license to meet with clients as applicable;
