We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to join our team in the role of Landscape Carpenter. The successful candidate will play a central role in carpentry team, focussed on construction of outdoor structures in high end, residential properties.

Responsibilities

Duties:

- Accurately work from blue-prints to construct patios, fences, decks, and other landscape structures
- Forming carpentry – formwork for stairs, walls, foundations, architectural concrete
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge to a high level of precision
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
- Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Train, supervise and support team members to build a positive and cohesive team environment

Selection Criteria

- Presentable, professional and with excellent work ethic
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality finished product
- Stable work history with demonstrated commitment to past employers
- Ideally someone with several years experience – preferably in high end residential construction
- Able to transport self to West Vancouver, Point Grey or anywhere in Vancouver
- Red Seal preferred
- Happy to work outside year round!
