Glen Echo Nurseries is looking for a LANDSCAPE SALES & DESIGN SPECIALIST to join it's team.  This is a full time seasonal position.  The successful candidate will have experience in landscape design and installation/planting.  Must be energetic and creative.  Is responsible to follow a client's job from start to completion.

Summary of Responsiblilities

• Respond to inquiries from leads and existing customers who are looking for landscaping work
• Work with clients to gather their requirements and budget, resulting in a design proposal and estimate presented back to them
• Responsible for identifying proper pruning, mulching, installing of plants and sod, installing seasonal color and perennials
• Conduct site visits to plan jobs and ensure job and crew is on track
• Schedule jobs with nursery manager, including allocation of crews and equipment
• Ensure job information is recorded on a regular basis to ensure profitability, including hours worked, materials used including plant materials and equipment usage

Skills & Qualifications

• Hands on experience in a landscaping environment
• Extensive knowledge of plant material plus landscape design ability (manual or computerized)
• Strong orgainzation and time management skills, plus ability to problem-solve and manage priorities
• Experience in sales and job estimating
• Experience in leading crews and motivating staff an asset
• Strong communication skills with staff and customers
• Possess a valid "G" drivers license and clean drivers abstract
