Job Description - Irrigation Service Technician

Irrigation Service Technicians are responsible for carrying out irrigation related service calls and participating in other irrigation projects.

A typical day as a service technician involves traveling from site to site, working directly with clients to provide effective, tailored solutions to their irrigation needs. By applying technical knowledge, a service technician provides solutions to any irrigation related problem. On larger service calls, technicians may be provided team members to assist.

Qualifications Required

This position is for an experienced technician with at least 1 year working as an irrigation service technician, and preferably at least 1 or more years with general irrigation experience (install, labour, etc.).  Related industry experience will also be considered.

• 
  Capability to inspect irrigation systems to identify proper service needs, and to execute these tasks
  • Aptitude to troubleshoot, install and adjust: controllers, valves and other system components
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License and a good driving record

Job Description – Irrigation Installation Foreman/ Junior Foreman

Installation Foremen are responsible for leading a crew of 3-5 employees through the installation of an irrigation system, from flagging it out, to signing off on the installation. These duties include, but are not limited to:

• 
  Establishing a safe and hard-working workplace atmosphere for yourself and your coworkers each and every day.
  •Communicate effectively with clients and coworkers.
  •Courteous and receptive conduct while meeting with customers, and the ability to explain and execute all areas of your scope of work.
  •Flagging out of the irrigation system following provided documents, and effectively installing the irrigation system as per company standards.
  •Safe and effective operation of vibratory plows, in both pulling pipe and trenching operation.
  •Overseeing and installation of any required underground conduits on both residential and commercial worksites.  
  •Overseeing and partaking in the proper installation of all irrigation components (pipe, heads, valves, timers, sensors, etc.)
  •Thorough testing of completed systems, and demonstration of the system to the customer.
  •Ongoing industry training and skills improvement courses are encouraged, and always available as part of our growth strategy.
