Job qualifications:
- have a diploma/certificate in the landscape industry or at least 1 full season of field experience
- full drivers' license and present a clean drivers abstract
- use power equipment in a safe and responsible manner and comfortable on ladders
- have good plant I.D. or willingness to learn
- know proper pruning techniques or willingness to learn- have experience in installation work and/or planting
- have an ability to work as a team or individually
- be punctual, reliable, have a good work ethic and a keen eye for detail
- be physically fit and able to endure strenuous work and lift up to 50lbs
Job responsibilities:
- prune shrubs and trees, transplanting/planting, weeding, mulching, edging, leaf cleanup and occasional renovations (patio and garden installs)
- mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, liming lawns and occasional renovations/upgrades
- shear hedges on and off of ladders, renovation cuts as requested
- use power blowers efficiently
- driving company trucks in a safe and responsible manner (no trailers)
- pick up and delivery of material for job sites
- disposing of green waste/recycling at a disposal facility
- treating all tools with care
Must provide own secateurs and gardening gloves
Must wear proper protective footwear (e.g. steel toed boots), raingear etc.
