LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE FOREPERSON

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Drive to and from residential client properties, loading required materials/equipment
• Manage a crew of up to three people, supervise staff in operation of the following equipment: lawn mower, ride of mower, line trimmer , back pack blower, hedge trimmer, aerator, dethatcher , slit seeder
• Demonstrate best practices and LPCGC process standards in relation to jobs performed, including but not limited to: turf maintenance, garden cultivation and weeding , sodding, perennial, shrub, tree, annual and bulb planting, hedge trimming and selective pruning, spring and fall property clean ups, soil work and over seeding, pesticide application
• Promote safety, wear appropriate personal protective equipment and demonstrate hazard awareness at all times
• Completion of all required paperwork , monitoring materials used on site
• Participate in meetings
• Be prepared to start work on time (6:45am) and to work extended hours as necessary (including some Saturdays during spring and fall cleanups)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous residential landscaping experience 3+ years, skilled with hedge trimmer
• Previous supervisory experience 1-2 years
• Post-secondary horticultural education or equivalent experience
• Excellent plant care and identification knowledge
• IPM knowledge
• Full G license with clean record
• Emergency first aid
