We currently have a position available for a Lead Hand to join our Lawn Maintenance team for the upcoming spring/summer season.
As a lead hand you will work alongside a supervisor and 3-4 labourers to mainain all lawn and garden areas that we maintain. The position involves grass cutting, regular weeding of flower beds and shrub beds. Pruning and deadheading of plants as appropriate for variety of species of plant. Application of mulch to beds. Application of fertilizer. Gather and remove litter, sweep and wash parking lots and sidewalks, keep properties clean and visually appealing. It involves operating various pieces of equipment and minor routine maintenance of all utilized equipment may also be required.

Has a valid G Ontario Driver License with a clean abstract and is interested in upgrading their license
Can safely operate vehicles, have knowlege of trailers and powered equipment, such as zero turn mowers, tractors, line trimmers, leaf blowers, chain saws, clippers, sod cutters, etc.
This position is outdoors with hours varying depending on weather. It is goal oriented in so far as completing the daily and weekly assigned work is of paramount importance. Being safety oriented is the first priority. A high level of customer service and conscientious work ethics are required.
This is a full time position which could lead to year round employment with benefit package.
