We are looking to hire for our 2019 season! With the nature of the industry, during parts of the season successful candidates must be willing to work weekdays, some weekends and/or holidays. Work terms do vary depending on the job position and time of year.  

 

We are looking for experienced, safety-conscious driver who have excellent customer service skills and can keep up with our fast paced environment. We are a team-orientated company and successful candidates will be willing to work in alternative positions/perform different tasks as requested by upper management including planting and working on site as a labourer. The ideal candidate displays a positive attitude when interacting with customers and co-workers as well as being a dependable and hardworking member of the team. Our drivers need to feel proficient in driving large trucks in downtown Toronto, suburban and rural neighborhoods.

 

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

Ensure vehicles meet MTO standards before starting the day deliveries

Be able to efficiently navigate the GTA and beyond, to deliver products to customers in a timely manner

Drive & deliver products in all types of weather

Provide excellent customer service and respect the property of our customers 

Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled for the next day deliveries 

*and other task as assigned by upper management 

 

Qualification and skills

G Licence minimum

Minimum 2-3 years of professional driving experience 

MUST have a good driving abstract 

Experience as a delivery driver in an urban setting is an asset

Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds, bending, twisting, sitting and standing for long periods of times

Capable of working long shifts 

Dependable to work efficiently independently 

Familiar with navigation

Ability to manage time and routes for efficiency 

Willingness to learn and help where they can 

Experience with planting large trees is an asset

Experience with delivering lose bulk product i.e. soil, mulch is an asset  

First aid certification is an asset
