The Lead Climbing Arborist / Crew Leader directs the climbing crew, oversees the completion of tree work, and ensures work is carried out safely and efficiently. 

Responsibilities of the Lead Climbing Arborist:

• Preparing the crew and necessary equipment for the work day
• Ensuring work is conducted safely

• Pruning, removing, and cabling trees of all sizes
• Proficient in rigging techniques

 

Qualifications

• Completion of an Arboriculture diploma program and/or equivalent field experience
  • ISA Certification or MTCU Qualification an asset
• G driver’s license with a clean abstract (DZ license an asset)
• Minimum 3 years climbing experience in arboriculture
• Tree and shrub identification

 

• Experience as a lead climbing arborist or crew leader an asset
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
