The Ground Person is responsible for carrying out duties assigned by the Lead Climbing Arborist / Crew Leader or designated supervisor in a safe and efficient manner. 

Responsibilities of the Ground Person:

• Preparing the necessary equipment for the work day
• Ensuring work is conducted safely
• Knowledgeable in rigging techniques and knots specific to arboriculture
• Maintaining a clear work area
• Processing tree parts and using a chipper

Qualifications

• Driven and self-directed when completing tasks
• Chainsaw certificate required                                                                                                                                                                   

• Full or partial completion of an Arboriculture diploma program and/or equivalent field experience an asset
• Experience in the Arboricultural trade an asset

• G driver’s license with a clean abstract an asset (DZ license an asset)
