Job Location: Various areas throughout the GTA

 

We are a well established Landscape construction company based in Hornby, Ontario working mainly on high end residential projects in the Toronto area. We are presently looking to hire one Stonemason on a full-time and permanent basis as soon as possible. Successful candidates will have experience working with all types of stone.

 

Job Duties

• Preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
• Constructing and installing prefabricated masonry units
• Building patios, retaining walls, garden walls, stone steps and plinths, and other decorative installations
• Cutting and trimming bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
• Reading sketches and blueprints to complete jobs

Skills Requirements

 

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a stonemason including working with natural stones, i.e. limestone, granite, marble, etc.,
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working with laying stones, level and plumb.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience building stone patios, walls, sidewalls, pavilions and pools
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience with preparation of Cements and mortars

 

Education

 

Minimum of three (3) years of secondary school
