Job Description:

• Tree and shrub examination and treatment
• Growth of ornamental plants
• Landscape design
• Lawn and garden maintenance
• Landscape construction
• Hydroponic culture
• Tree removal
• Hedge and shrub pruning
• Treatment solution injections
• Horticultural consulting
• Plant knowledge and identification
• Prepare proposals
• Write specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Estimate costs
• Prepare contracts and tenders
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios and other landscape structures
• Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions

 

Requirements:

-Education: Completion of high school is required

-Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience is required or a Post-Secondary Certificate is required.

 

 

Salary: $27.15 to $29.00hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Position requires flexibility in scheduling including weekend hours as needed. The summer hours will be longer due to the longer daylight hours and the amount of work

 

Benefits: $500-$1000 per year towards medical/dental expenses or towards own insurance.
