Position Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the Grower /Production Co-ordinator is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the day to day operations of our container growing facility located in Schomberg, Ontario. This position offers the opportunity of full-time, year round employment at one of Canada’s largest nursery operations.
The Successful Candidate will possess the following;
-Horticultural degree
-minimum 2 years experience in nursery industry
-solid working knowledge of ornamental plant material
-intermediate MS office skills
-strong communication skills (written and verbal)
-excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
-solid problem-solving abilities
-ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding deadlines
Duties and responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include;
-monitoring of crops
-process scheduling related to the maintenance of plant material
-labour scheduling/ monitoring in a task–oriented environment
-ownership of information related to inventory, production
-interaction with management and other departments
