Full-time Nursery Sales Assistant-Outdoor

The Nursery Assistant is responsible for working as a team member, liasing with various departments to complete day-to-day duties including, greeting customers, answering queries, preparing orders and deliveries, loading and unloading deliveries or returns etc.

 

Duties:

• Greet customers and answer queries
• Assist with receiving nursery products and ensure documentation
• Provide information on products and services to customers
• Ensure that department and products are maintained; dead-heading, watering, etc
• Prepare orders and deliveries, load and unload purchases/returns
• Clean, organize and maintain products and displays
• Liaise with other department as required
• Participate and ensure Health and Safety compliance
• Other duties as required

Qualification:

• High school graduate
• Knowledge of trees and plant materials an asset
• 1-2 years garden centre, horticulture, retail or general labour experiences
• Good organization and communication skills
• Works well in a team enviroment
• Flexible schedule and available on weekends
• Able to lift, bend and twist
