As a landscape gardener, you will work as part of our crew to deliver our core services to our clients (spring clean-ups, detail gardening (weeding, pruning, shrub and perennial care), topdressing, organic lawn care, planting installations and renovations, topdressing, fall bed-downs, seasonal enhancements.)

 

Term: full-time for the 2018 season, April to end of November-early December

Hours: typically 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mon.-Fri.

Location: We are located in the Queen St. West area and travel to our clients throughout Toronto

Wage: $16-19 based on experience and skill set

 

Requirements

• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Valid Class "G" driver's license (abstract required)
• Ability to perform strenuous manual work in various weather conditions
• Team player with a positive "can-do" attitude
• Desire to learn, be creative and willing to contribute ideas
• Strong work ethic (punctual, responsible, reliable)
• Verbal communication skills and digital/written literacy (reports)

 

Extra Consideration will be given to candidates with:

• Strong ornamental gardening experience/education
• Design experience/education
• Seasonal enhancements experience
• First Aid, Health and Safety Certificates
• Desire to pursue a career in horticulture/landscaping
