Stonelife Landscaping Inc. is a full-service design and installation landscaping company, providing high quality landscaping services to both Residential and Commercial clients across the GTA.

We are currently hiring for a full-time, year round Project/ Assistant Operations Manager to join our growing company located in Concord, Ontario.  The Project Manager will manage the project from tender award to completion and will work on multiple jobs.  This role is crucial in ensuring that all projects stay on track in all aspects and works with the Director to resolve any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist Director with daily operations
• Daily follow-up with clients and team members
• Tracking of employee labour hours by project on a weekly basis
• Keep an updated materials tracking list to eliminate material overrun for each project
• Manage awarded projects including but not limited to:
• Completing submittals
• Call for locates prior to project commencement
• Organizing and ordering of materials for each project
• Coordination with Foreman
• Attend trades meetings
• Monitor schedules provided by G.C. and provide updates to the Director and Foreman
• Addressing and estimating extras and site instructions
• Must keep all members of the project in the loop via regular emails
• Complete progress reports for invoicing purposes
• Responsible for GPA Tracking System of Equipment and Vehicles
• Other duties as required

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have knowledge and understanding of landscaping/construction industry
• Must be tech savvy and able to learn new computer software
• Intermediate skills in MS Office (Excel and Word)
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Able to read, interpret and scale drawings
• Some estimating experience
• Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task multiple projects
• Positive attitude and able to work well with others in the team
• Nice to have: Auto Cad or Plan Swift (Estimating Take-Offs)
