Job Description:
Plan and supervise the maintenance of the landscape, lawn and garden areas of residential townhouse strata complexes.
Supervising a crew of 2 to 5 and training of new employees.
Operating a truck and trailer.
General duties include mowing, blade edging, precision weed-eating, blowing and aerating.
Hedge trimming to a high standard. Bed work, weeding and leaf and garden cleanup.
Planting and transplanting flowers, shrubs and trees.
Tree pruning up to 15'.
There will also be some landscape and garden installation and renovation projects.
Basic small engine maintenance of equipment.
Maintaining work logs, business receipts and schedules.
Permanent Position: full time 40 hours per week year round.
$24 per hour plus yearly bonus. Basic medical coverage after 6 months.
Will sponsor willing applicants for the Red Seal Landscape Horticulturist Program.
Work is all located in the lower mainland areas surrounding Vancouver out to Langley.
Equipment storage and meeting place is near Edmond Skytrain station at 7:15 am.

Requirements:
Must speak English.
Minimum 6 year’s experience in strata landscape maintenance.
Minimum 2 years previous experience as a crew supervisor in strata landscape maintenance.
Valid BC driver’s License.
Must have a BC pesticide applicator license.
Basic knowledge of plant pests and solutions.
Basic knowledge of plant identification.
Basic small engine maintenance knowledge.
