The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Parks, you will be responsible for providing an overall level of maintenance
to the Parks system in the Town of Caledon.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a motivated individual with completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent. A post-secondary diploma as a Landscape Technician or a closely related field would be an asset. Our ideal candidate has experience in general park maintenance, as well as experience operating and basic servicing of vehicles including light trucks, tractors, mowers, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to make decisions according to established policies and procedures. We are seeking an individual with proficient verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
A valid driver’s license with no more than 3 demerit points is required. Possession of a restricted ‘A’ license would be considered an asset.
Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
